Vanbarton Group, represented by Skyline Properties, has entered contract to acquire the 27‑story office tower at 6 East 43rd Street in Midtown East from Emigrant Savings Bank/Milstein family for approximately $140 million. The intention is to convert the roughly 400,000 sq ft building into 450–500 rental apartments. The deal is expected to close this fall, with Eastdil Secured brokering the sale. This move follows Vanbarton’s recent conversions of 160 Water Street (600 units) and plans for 1011 First Avenue (420 units) and 77 Water Street (600 units).
